Professional Master’s in Finance and Economics in Brasilia
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ School of Public Policy and Government (FGV EPPG)’s Professional Master’s in Economics (MPE) arose from the successful experience of the same course offered by the Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) since 2003.
FGV EESP’s program has a CAPES score of five (the maximum possible score) and 720 students have graduated from it since it was created.
In 2017-18, given high demand for its MPE course in the Federal District and surrounding region, FGV EESP started two classes at FGV in Brasilia, through the “course outside of FGV office” modality.
In 2019, FGV EPPG offered its MPE course at its permanent office in Brasilia, based on the program offered by FGV EESP. The classes in Brasilia are taught by FGV EPPG professors, in collaboration with professors from FGV EESP and other schools.
The course is aimed at professionals who seek to acquire or enhance their academic research skills, theories, tools and other instruments to apply in their personal and/or professional life, without giving up their activities in the market in which they operate.
The course also paves the way for the development of new careers (such as university professor) and enables post-master’s studies, involving more advanced short or long-term courses, such as an academic or professional doctorate.
MPE has various areas of focus, giving students a vast array of options to specialize or diversify their education in line with their personal or professional interests.
