Summary: This course explores the dynamics between the State, the private sector, and civil society in Brazil, focusing on the theoretical and practical foundations of government relations. It examines the role of interest groups in a liberal democracy, the ethical and legal frameworks of lobbying in Brazil, and the mechanisms of influence within the political system. Students will learn how to design lobbying and advocacy strategies, engage with public policy consultancies, manage intergovernmental relations, and conduct legislative and regulatory impact analyses. The course equips participants with both conceptual understanding and practical tools to effectively navigate and influence interactions between organizations and the public sector.

Summary: Income-contingent financing: rationale, methods, and applications. Examines the economic rationale for income-contingent financing—risk-sharing and insurance against low earnings—and the design of contracts, pricing, repayment schedules, and collection mechanisms. Applies these methods to higher education and other sectors through international and Latin American cases, emphasizing legal/regulatory frameworks, consumer protection, and the rationale of future income as collateral.

Summary: This course introduces the principles, methods, and practices of inner development as a foundation for impactful leadership in public and corporate settings. Designed to cultivate inner capacities aligned with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), it supports regenerative leadership, meaningful collaboration, and transformative action in times of complexity. Through a combination of theoretical grounding and experiential learning, students explore how personal growth connects to systemic change and are empowered to lead with integrity, clarity, and effectiveness.

Summary: Justice organizations are fundamental to the functioning of the State and serve as important forums for decision-making on public policies. Thus, this course presents and discusses topics related to the administration of justice, encompassing theories, research methods, and key areas of study in justice administration, such as governance, innovation, performance, and bureaucracy. The course will be carried out through the development of an academic article in this emerging field of knowledge.

Summary: This discipline examines how the digital transformation is redefining the role and functions of the state and relations with society. It addresses topics such as implementing digital technologies in the public sector, building digital platforms, e-governance, cybersecurity, data privacy and the social and political implications of technological innovations. Students will explore case studies and theories to understand the opportunities and challenges of government digitalization in Brazil and around the world.
